We are seeking a highly qualified and seasoned Cybersecurity Specialist to become a vital part of our team.

In this role, you will take charge of managing security incidents, overseeing documentation, coordinating efforts, and optimizing resource utilization within the organization from the initial stages through to comprehensive after-action reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the technical authority, engaging with senior external stakeholders on critical technical issues that often necessitate inter-organizational collaboration.
  • Oversee enterprise incident response initiatives, including command and control operations, in reaction to cybersecurity incidents.
  • Facilitate the detection, identification, and reporting of potential cyber threats, including attacks, anomalous behaviors, and misuse activities.
  • Analyze network traffic and system data to pinpoint unusual activities and potential risks to resources.
  • Conduct security event and incident correlation utilizing information collected from various enterprise sources.
  • Evaluate and assess the impact on data and infrastructure resulting from cyber incidents.
  • Draft and disseminate cyber incident reports that detail findings and provide mitigation and remediation recommendations.
  • Develop and document incident response protocols, processes, and procedures.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Experience: Minimum of 7 years in a related capacity, with a preference for experience in a Cybersecurity Operations Center environment. Familiarity with commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) technologies utilized in such settings is advantageous.

Certifications: CSSP-IR (GCIH, CSIH, or CEH) certification is required within six months. IAT Level II (GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security) certification is also required.

Technical Skills: Proficient in both Windows and Linux operating systems, with a solid understanding of current COTS cybersecurity technologies, database security, and operating system security. Knowledge of contemporary security principles, techniques, and protocols is essential.

Personal Attributes: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple tasks. Strong coordination skills to ensure that scheduled objectives are met. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with the ability to interact effectively with various levels of senior management.

Demonstrated decision-making capabilities and problem-solving skills are crucial. You should be proactive in seeking information and data to evaluate, prioritize, and formulate optimal solutions.

Must be capable of multitasking, working independently as well as collaboratively within a team, sharing workloads, and adapting to sudden changes in project priorities.

Clearance Requirement: An active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is mandatory.

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is between $100,800 and $168,700. Various factors may influence the final salary, including relevant experience, skills, geographic location, education, and certifications.
