Job Title: Archery Program Specialist - Summer Resident Camp

Estimated Salary: $**45,000 - $55,000 per year**, depending on experience

This position plays a vital role in delivering programs that help campers understand and live up to the Girl Scout Promise and Law and develop an appreciation for the outdoors. As an Archery Program Specialist, you will be responsible for planning and implementing archery activities within budget, developing and enforcing safety measures, and maintaining a well-equipped first aid kit.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement archery programs that align with the camp program and GSWNY's mission and goals
  • Develop and enforce safety measures for the archery area, following GSUSA Activity Check Points, New York State Health Department, USA Archery, and the American Camp Association guidelines
  • Maintain a well-equipped first aid kit in the archery area
  • Report all incidents or accidents promptly to the supervisor or health supervisor
  • Responsible for planning and implementing archery activities within budget
  • Submits weekly evaluations of activities
Requirements:
  • Minimum age: 18 (per New York State Health Department)
  • Certification in archery from a nationally recognized organization or willingness to attend certification course
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Current certification in Responding to Emergencies and CPR or individual willing to complete certification course during designated training day
  • Certified Sex Offender Registry and Criminal Background Checks completed for personnel file
