Field Organizer

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Field Organizer to join our team at Organizing for Impact. As a Field Organizer, you will play a critical role in establishing and expanding canvass offices, launching effective canvassing operations, and ensuring accountability through meticulous data monitoring.
This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of change, directly contributing to the success of campaigns that drive positive social and political progress. You will work in teams of 2-4 to manage the day-to-day operations of field canvass offices, recruiting, interviewing, and training paid canvassing staff, maintaining quality control, and managing logistics.
Responsibilities- Establish and grow canvass offices in targeted communities, including scouting office locations, setting up the office, and creating an engaging office culture.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of canvassers who can effectively engage with voters, explain campaign messaging, and collect data.
- Lead field operations, including door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, voter registration, and get-out-the-vote efforts to mobilize support for the campaign.
- Implement data-driven strategies to track and analyze campaign progress, voter engagement, and canvasser performance, ensuring accountability and optimization based on data insights.
- Build relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and local organizations to foster support and collaboration for the campaign.
- Effectively communicate campaign goals, messaging, and updates to senior staff daily.
- Travel extensively to varying locations, spending extended periods to independently oversee campaign operations and drive engagement.
- Supervise and support canvassers, office staff, and supervisors, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure a cohesive and motivated team.
- Onboard and accurately track canvasser hours worked, working with administrative teams to ensure timely compensation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to create meaningful connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Self-starter with the ability to spot problems and take action.
- Ability to critically solve problems and make decisions in fast-paced and dynamic environments.
- Flexibility to travel extensively and work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to inspire and mobilize others.
- Passion for social and political change, with a commitment to advancing progressive values and causes.
- Interest in and ability to work with people with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
- Ability to prioritize and manage your schedule and work with minimal supervision.
We offer a competitive salary range of $5,000-$7,500 per month, commensurate with experience. All positions can last through mid-November, with opportunity to extend and/or advance. The ideal candidate should be ready to hit the ground running, with training and onboarding provided as dictated by the requirements of the underlying project(s).
