Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide targeted small group instruction under the supervision of certified staff.

  2. Model and facilitate appropriate social interactions and behaviors among students.

  3. Assist with personal care needs of students, including feeding and mobility support.

  4. Monitor and document students' academic and behavioral progress as directed by the classroom teacher.

  5. Engage with and supervise students throughout the school day, including during recess and field trips.

  6. Oversee student activities during arrival, dismissal, and lunch, and assist with classroom preparations as needed.

  7. Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans.

  8. Participate in professional development to enhance skills related to special education and student support.

  9. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while interacting with students, colleagues, and supervisors.

Qualifications:

Education: A minimum of an Associate's Degree in a relevant field or 48 college credit hours from an accredited institution is required.

Experience: Previous experience working with children is preferred.

Skills: Proficiency in basic computer applications, a positive demeanor, and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.

Physical Requirements: The position may require light to medium physical activity, including lifting and mobility tasks.
