We are currently looking for a motivated individual eager to contribute to Tarrant County while gaining valuable experience in our Communications and Marketing department. The specific timeline for the internship will be established in collaboration with the selected candidate and our Chief Communication and Marketing Officer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating closely with the Marketing and Communications Team to fulfill internship duties
  • Developing engaging social media and digital content
  • Crafting feature articles and blog posts for the organization’s website
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of special events
  • Effectively communicating information and addressing inquiries from internal stakeholders
  • Upholding the mission and values of United Way of Tarrant County
Qualifications and Required Skills:

To excel in this internship, candidates must demonstrate the ability to successfully perform each essential duty. The following qualifications are necessary:
  • A High School diploma is required, and candidates should be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program, preferably in a marketing-related field.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Spanish or another language is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with effective presentation abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and respect.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, with experience in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint preferred.
  • Reliability and commitment to meeting deadlines and fulfilling obligations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Organizational and administrative skills.
  • Strategic thinking and sound judgment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks and documentation.
  • Integrity and personal values aligned with the mission of United Way.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Work Environment: The internship is expected to require 15-35 hours per week, as mutually agreed upon by UWTC and the intern. Work hours will generally fall between Monday and Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with specific times to be determined by the intern and our Chief Communication and Marketing Officer. The primary work setting for this position is an office environment, typical of those encountered while fulfilling internship responsibilities.
