Position Overview:

Diversified Gas & Oil Corporation (DGOC) operates as a subsidiary of Diversified Energy Company PLC, a publicly traded entity on both the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and London Stock Exchange (LSE). DGOC specializes in the ownership and management of both conventional and unconventional natural gas and oil wells, alongside midstream pipeline and compression station operations, primarily situated in the Appalachian Basin across the United States.

Key Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst will engage in the reporting and evaluation of financial outcomes and operational metrics within the organization. This position will report directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and will collaborate closely with teams in Accounting, Finance, IT, and Operations to cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the business and deliver insightful analyses. This role is based in the Corporate Office.

Primary Focus Areas:

  • Conduct financial assessments comparing actual results against trends and budgets for the complete income statement, identifying and communicating variance drivers to Operations leaders and Management.
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly internal reports for Management and the Board of Directors.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators related to expenses and operational metrics.
  • Provide analytical and reporting assistance to a designated operational region.
  • Support the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecast updates.
  • Incorporate the effects of any completed mergers and acquisitions into budget and forecast analyses.
  • Assist with various ad-hoc projects and reporting tasks.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in business finance or accounting is preferred, or other relevant experience.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A strong work ethic and self-motivated individual capable of identifying, analyzing, communicating, and resolving issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration and positive interactions across the organization.
  • Able to manage time effectively, work under pressure, and handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with Hyperion Essbase and Power BI is a plus.
