Position Overview: The role of Associate Manager in Enterprise Analytics involves reporting to the Senior Manager of Analytic Consulting within the Enterprise Analytics & Insights division. This position is responsible for overseeing and executing a range of analytical and reporting initiatives aimed at enhancing various functions including enrollment, operations, academics, learner support, and financial aid.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage diverse analytic and reporting projects for Capella University.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement strategic research and analytics plans from enrollment to learner outcomes.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across Capella and Strategic Education Inc. to prioritize research initiatives that enhance learner success and operational efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making by aligning research metrics and ensuring timely communication of insights.
  • Work with IT reporting teams to enhance the enterprise reporting framework for showcasing analytical results.
  • Travel to corporate locations as required for business needs.
  • Eligible for remote work within a reasonable commuting distance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • A minimum of four years of progressive experience in leading primary research and analytics, including presenting findings to executive stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing new processes and data systems to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Proven management skills including hiring, performance management, and employee development.
  • Strong background in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data mining.
  • Ability to interpret complex data sets and make informed, data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in designing and analyzing A/B and multivariate tests.
  • Familiarity with educational industry practices.
  • Proficient in statistical programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL, as well as statistical software like SAS and Excel.
  • Capability to manage complex analytics projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex statistical concepts to non-technical audiences.

  • Occasional travel may be necessary based on business requirements.
  • Ability to work in a typical office environment, including mobility within the office.
  • Access to a suitable remote work environment is required for hybrid roles.
  • Must be able to meet critical thinking and problem-solving demands of the role.
  • Willingness to work beyond standard hours when necessary.
