Job Summary

Noblis is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer - Systems Administrator to join our team in Bridgeport, WV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-based solutions for law enforcement and homeland security clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide engineering and technical support for design, development, and deployment of cloud-based solutions
  • Lead software deployment, monitoring, and maintenance activities
  • Conduct design and code reviews, participate in daily scrums, and other agile ceremonies
  • Coordinate with development teams to support QA/QC and troubleshooting activities
  • Provide assistance in monitoring and resolving issues with deployed systems

Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor of Science in Technology, Engineering, or Computer Science (or related field) and a minimum of 8 years of related experience
  • Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas: Linux system administration, database management, DevOps, software development and engineering, and cloud-based technologies
  • Experience working with cloud service providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with microservice architectures, software platforms, and frameworks like Kafka, Redis, NiFi, and Ansible
  • Experience with programming languages and scripting methods, including Python, Bash, Java, C, C++, and .NET
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment systems, including Jenkins, Hudson, Bamboo, and Gitlab
  • Experience with orchestration platforms, including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with revision control systems, including Git
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian products, including Jira and Confluence
  • Working knowledge of Agile software development frameworks, including Scrum and SAFe

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with law enforcement clients
  • Experience installing and/or maintaining an Openstack environment
  • Ability to complement our existing team, solve problems, and work in an ambiguous environment
  • Ability to self-manage, have strong self-organization skills, and be eager to contribute
  • Ability to strive to be an excellent engineer/developer, explore innovative technologies, and develop new skills
  • Ability to work in an agile and cross-functional team environment, understand team goals, and generate appropriate, innovative analytical insights to drive process and experience improvement
  • Ability to challenge the status quo and be hungry to explore, evaluate, and understand new technologies
