Job Overview

The Data Science and Insights Manager will collaborate with business champions and leadership teams across the enterprise to drive improved decision making through the use and interpretation of data.

This role will focus on existing and new processes to drive analytical data science solutions to enhance business insights in the organization.

The Data Insights and Analytics Manager will lead all key initiatives and integrate data to drive business performance.

This position will be responsible for project management and hands-on delivery to increase data-driven results across the organization.

This role will be responsible for applying machine learning to applications to increase the use of advanced analytics and foster data-driven results that cannot be recognized using traditional methodologies and toolsets.

All delivered solutions will directly or indirectly drive cost-saving measures, increased profitability, or cash flow enhancements for the organization.

This role will include hands-on development activities in Azure ML, Databricks, and/or MS Power Platform as well as leading, coaching, and mentoring other analytics professionals.

A Day in the Life

Hands-on development and/or leading of assigned resources to deliver solutions using cloud-based technologies such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, Azure ML, and Enterprise Data Models.

Lead collaboration between analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility, and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization.

Partner with functional areas to ensure that reporting and analytics is driving insight that can be quantitatively measured and used with predictive analysis when applicable.

Lead project planning and resourcing activities and manage the execution of projects according to plan.

Recommend and integrate toolsets from vendors to provide seamless enterprise solutions regardless of the application.

Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work, requirements, budget, and timeline.

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Analytics space
  • 4+ years of experience supporting Enterprise Applications using Data Science/Azure ML
  • 4+ years of experience with Python and/or PySpark development
  • 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure Platform
  • 4+ years of experience with Azure Databricks, DevOps, Power Platform
  • Experience building repeatable frameworks to support AI/ML applications
  • SAP Functional knowledge (Required): SAP S4HANA, SAP RISE, SAP Finance
  • SAP Functional knowledge (Optional): Operations/Logistics/HR
  • Ability to effectively engage with stakeholders, gather requirements, and translate them into integrated data models and a delivered solution
  • Ability to analyze different tools and technologies to determine the best solutions for integration from an enterprise perspective
  • Strong analytical skills and troubleshooting skills required
  • The ability to work across diversified business and IT teams
  • Experience working in a customer service-oriented environment
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
  • Certification in Azure Engineering or Azure ML desirable but not required
