Position Overview:
As a Business Tax Services Intern at RSM, you will collaborate with a diverse range of companies, both large and small, across various sectors. You will cultivate strong working relationships with clients by gaining a deep understanding of their businesses and the challenges they face. Interns engage in multiple team projects each year, contributing to various aspects of assignments rather than focusing on a single component. Working within a mutually respectful team atmosphere enables our associates to perform at their peak and harmonize their professional and personal lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participating in a team that specializes in various tax areas, including corporate taxation, income tax accounting, federal credits and incentives, individual taxation, mergers and acquisitions, pass-through entity taxation, private client services, and non-profit organizations.
  • Conducting tax planning and research.
  • Preparing federal, state, and local tax returns.
  • Gaining insights into tax regulations and accounting standards.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Completion of 90 credit hours.
  • Pursuing a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Major in Accounting.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations, with access to reliable transportation.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Capability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Compensation Range: $27 - $33 per hour
