Job Overview

PM2CM, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and enforce construction and professional services contracts to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Manage and direct contractors and outside consultants, including reviewing and approving invoices to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Assess project risks and develop risk registers, including mitigation strategies, to minimize potential impacts on project timelines and budgets.
  • Facilitate resolutions of construction and design issues through effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with architects to ensure timely and accurate responses to requests for information, submittals, and construction change documents.
  • Generate and distribute meeting minutes to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date on project progress.
  • Confirm contractor maintenance of record drawings prior to monthly progress payments to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain project files in both electronic and paper format to ensure easy access and retrieval of project information.
  • Review submittals for conformance to plans and specifications to ensure that all work meets company standards.

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of recent professional experience in a similar or equivalent position involved in project or construction management.
  • BS/BA degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative to make sound decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with installation of IT, networking, access control, and/or audio-visual systems.
  • Experience on educational programs/projects.
  • Experience on Division of State Architect (DSA) projects.
  • Experience on large public works programs.
  • Professional Engineer License (PE), Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or similar credentials.
