Job Title: Project Manager

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our team. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects from initiation to closure, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage project plans, including project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation
  • Lead and manage project teams, including assigning tasks, providing guidance and support, and ensuring team members have the necessary resources and training
  • Coordinate and manage project communications, including stakeholder engagement, status updates, and issue resolution
  • Monitor and control project progress, including tracking progress against project plans, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Ensure project deliverables meet client requirements and expectations
Requirements:
  • 11+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on IT projects
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of clients
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with project management tools and software, such as Asana, Trello, or MS Project
  • Knowledge of IT project management methodologies, such as Agile or Waterfall
