Overview

Under guidance, provides technical assistance for hardware and software, while managing service requests for computing devices and communication tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivers initial support for fundamental software and hardware challenges.
  • Identifies and resolves issues following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Aids in troubleshooting application, hardware, and software complications.
  • Refers complex issues to advanced technical support staff as needed.
  • Records service call information in a tracking database.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Offers support during off-hours and weekends when necessary.
  • Completes other tasks as assigned.

Work Environment

Work is performed in a conventional office setting utilizing standard office tools, including computers.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Understanding of basic computer hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with procedures for applying software updates and patches across various devices.
  • Strong customer service abilities and dedication to client satisfaction.
  • Capability to diagnose basic hardware issues across different devices.
  • Skill in troubleshooting network, software, and printing issues.
  • Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications

Completion of a standard high school education or equivalent, along with one year of experience in supporting computer applications and hardware.

Substitution

Possession of an ITIL Foundations certification may replace the required experience.
