Overview
Under guidance, provides technical assistance for hardware and software, while managing service requests for computing devices and communication tools.Key Responsibilities
- Delivers initial support for fundamental software and hardware challenges.
- Identifies and resolves issues following established protocols and guidelines.
- Aids in troubleshooting application, hardware, and software complications.
- Refers complex issues to advanced technical support staff as needed.
- Records service call information in a tracking database.
Additional Responsibilities
- Offers support during off-hours and weekends when necessary.
- Completes other tasks as assigned.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a conventional office setting utilizing standard office tools, including computers.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of basic computer hardware and software.
- Familiarity with procedures for applying software updates and patches across various devices.
- Strong customer service abilities and dedication to client satisfaction.
- Capability to diagnose basic hardware issues across different devices.
- Skill in troubleshooting network, software, and printing issues.
- Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications
Completion of a standard high school education or equivalent, along with one year of experience in supporting computer applications and hardware.Substitution
