Position Overview

SUMMARY:

The Quality Control Technician I plays a crucial role in the execution and upkeep of Quality Plans established by Meridian Adhesives Group. This position involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring product quality and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following duties are essential to this role (additional tasks may be assigned):

  • Conducts Quality Control assessments on incoming materials, in-process batches, and finished products promptly.
  • Performs necessary post-control testing and evaluations.
  • Ensures batches conform to all specifications.
  • Provides constructive feedback to Research & Development regarding any out-of-specification trends observed in production.
  • Handles the calibration of mechanical and electrical testing components, maintaining comprehensive records.
  • Maintains the Quality Control database and generates reports as required.
  • Offers support to R&D and Engineering teams as needed.
  • Produces small batches for R&D and production in accordance with established formulas.
  • Conducts testing and evaluations for the R&D and Engineering departments.
  • Ensures the integrity of the QC Database, guaranteeing accurate information is documented.
  • Reviews customer complaints and returns to ascertain the status of potentially defective materials, communicating findings to relevant parties.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization within the Quality Control Lab.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The following qualifications are required:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Quality Control within an industrial setting.
  • Familiarity with polymer technology is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications and planning methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Adherence to established procedures is essential.
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules and overtime as necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

  • Basic understanding of Quality Plan implementation is required.
  • Capability to preplan daily activities in support of the aforementioned responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Associate's or Technical Degree from an accredited institution; or three to five years of relevant experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience that meets these criteria.

COMPENSATION:

Hourly pay ranges from $19.00 to $24.00.

SCHEDULE:

Standard working hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
