Position Summary

The Controlled Environment Field Technician is tasked with executing certifications, testing, and maintenance of Clean Rooms, hoods, and infusion centers across pharmacies, laboratories, and hospitals nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service MTA accounts by conducting thorough and precise verifications and certifications of Clean Rooms, Biological Safety Cabinets, Laminar Flow Hoods, Fume Hoods, and other controlled environment apparatus.
  • Travel along a designated route to test, certify, and perform maintenance and repairs on controlled environment equipment.
  • Utilize the Field Aware system for scheduling, tracking jobs, and reporting time.
  • Employ MS Excel for mathematical calculations necessary for customer reporting.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and provide clients with detailed reports on equipment performance.
  • Communicate daily activities and field issues to the support center.
  • Forward leads to the appropriate Sales Representative when identified.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain organized and clean work environments.
  • Wear appropriate safety gear.
  • Keep vehicle and equipment in a professional condition.
  • Diagnose issues, replace and repair components, and conduct necessary adjustments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Physical Requirements

  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to carry equipment and ascend ladders.
  • Capacity to sit, stand, lift, bend, hold equipment, and drive for extended durations.

Travel Requirements

  • Frequent travel, approximately 90% of the time.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred certifications: CETA, NEBB, or NSF.
  • Experience in air balancing, biomedical, pharmaceutical, HVAC, environmental testing, and/or clean rooms is advantageous.
  • Prior experience as a Field Service Technician, ideally 3-5 years.
  • Strong mathematical, mechanical, and electrical skills are essential.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about quality and precision.
  • Highly organized with exceptional customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Willingness to travel, work flexible hours, and adjust schedules to meet client needs.
