Position Overview

The Controlled Environment Field Technician is tasked with the certification, testing, and maintenance of Clean Rooms, hoods, and infusion centers across pharmacies, laboratories, and hospitals nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough and precise verifications and certifications of Clean Rooms, Biological Safety Cabinets, Laminar Flow Hoods, Fume Hoods, and other controlled environment apparatus.
  • Travel along a designated route to test, certify, and perform maintenance and repairs on controlled environment equipment.
  • Utilize the Field Aware system for job scheduling, tracking, and time reporting.
  • Employ MS Excel for calculations and customer reporting.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and provide detailed reports on equipment performance.
  • Communicate daily activities and any field issues to the support center.
  • Forward leads to the appropriate Sales Representative as they arise.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and maintain organized and clean workspaces.
  • Wear appropriate safety gear.
  • Maintain vehicle and equipment in a professional manner.
  • Diagnose issues, replace and repair components, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to carry equipment and climb ladders.
  • Ability to sit, stand, lift, bend, hold equipment, and drive for extended periods.

Travel Requirements

  • 90% or more travel is required.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred certifications include CETA, NEBB, or NSF.
  • Experience in air balancing, biomedical, pharmaceutical, HVAC, environmental testing, and/or clean rooms is advantageous.
  • 3-5 years of prior experience as a Field Service Technician is preferred.
  • Strong aptitude in mathematics, mechanics, and electrical systems is essential.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach, demonstrating a passion for quality and precision.
  • Highly organized with outstanding customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Willingness to travel, work flexible hours, and adjust schedules to meet customer needs.
