Support Specialist 3: Enhance Lives of Individuals with Disabilities

Bridgewell, a leading provider of social and human services, offers an exciting opportunity for a Support Specialist 3 to join their team. This role is responsible for supporting individuals with disabilities in Level 3 residential programs, focusing on skills training, daily interventions, and community engagement.
Job SummaryThe ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A valid driver's license and minimum one year of driving experience are required. Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft products and web-based applications, is also essential.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Daily Support: Assist individuals with skills training in activities of daily living, promoting independence and self-empowerment.
- Community Engagement: Transport and accompany individuals to medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records according to regulatory standards and Bridgewell policies.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications as per MAP regulations.
- Certifications and Training: Maintain core certifications, including FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP, and additional mandated certifications as required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities is preferred.
- An associate's degree or DSP certification is highly valued.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to write clear and articulate documents.
- Competitive salary range: $40,000 - $60,000 annually.
