Assistant Manager/Assistant Store Leader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager/Assistant Store Leader to join our team at Speedway. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing and providing customer service leadership, training, and coaching to all store employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service Leadership: Provide exceptional customer service, lead by example, and ensure that all employees are providing a high level of service to our customers.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to ensure that all employees have the skills and knowledge necessary to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Store Operations: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized store environment, including compliance with all health and sanitation procedures.
  • Merchandising and Marketing: Assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
  • Cash Handling and Fuel Transactions: Ensure accurate and efficient cash handling and fuel transactions, and promote the Speedy Rewards loyalty program.
  • Area Pricing Surveys: Conduct area pricing surveys and other business functions as needed.
  • Leadership and Development: Identify and develop future leaders within the company, and empower employees to take ownership of their roles and responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of retail management experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service and leadership skills, ability to multi-task, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
