Position Summary

The role focuses on enhancing and sustaining ABC's Environmental Management System (EMS) and Health and Safety Management System (HSMS). Responsibilities include drafting and updating standard operating procedures and overseeing the document control framework. The position emphasizes the importance of maintaining worker compensation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates or suggests EHS training programs.
  • Collaborates with site managers to conduct ongoing aspect and impact assessments as well as risk evaluations.
  • Develops and keeps an updated inventory of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring timely communication of any changes for compliance.
  • Implements and oversees worker compensation protocols.
  • Assists in conducting internal compliance audits across various sites.
  • Supports the change management process, including reviews of existing and new operational processes.
  • Engages in incident investigations as needed.
  • Assists with regulatory and customer reporting obligations.
  • Conducts comprehensive EHS audits at all operational sites, including various safety inspections.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach in the workplace, effectively managing tasks with minimal supervision while fostering communication for continuous improvement.
  • Participates in and leads Joint Health and Safety Committee meetings as necessary.
  • Conducts and participates in internal audits of the EMS and HSMS at North American locations.
  • Keeps the EHS Manager informed of ongoing activities.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the EHS Manager.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in industrial EHS.
