Job Title: Graphic Design Specialist

Syms Strategic Group, LLC (SSG) is seeking a highly skilled Graphic Design Specialist to provide graphic designer support services to a U.S. Federal Government customer.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior-level government professionals, department heads, and other executive staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide graphic design support services to a U.S. Federal Government customer
  • Update and develop visual communications artifacts using current graphic design methods and standards
  • Participate in creating, designing, and managing communications projects that inform senior-level leaders within VA, colleagues, and external customers
  • Provide copywriting, technical writing, proofing, editing, social media content creation, basic data analysis, graphic design, visual design, and video editing services
  • Create visual concepts by hand or using computer applications to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate an audience
  • Plan, design, and produce graphic exhibits, including artistic considerations using technical knowledge and skills in both physical and electronic form
  • Design for a variety of products and activities, including website, advertisements, books, posters, product packaging, exhibitions, magazines, pamphlets, and displays
  • Design corporate communications and corporate identity that require the organization's visual brand
Requirements
  • Must possess exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptionally skilled at juggling multiple tasks, allocating and optimizing resources, and managing timelines
  • A demonstrated ability to interact effectively and appropriately with senior-level government professionals, department heads, committees, volunteers, and other executive staff
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong Microsoft (MS) Office Suite skills and experience
  • Previous video editing and graphic animation experience
Security Clearance Requirements

The selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance.
