Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments of security systems and perform troubleshooting and repairs on low voltage security and home automation systems, including cameras, locks, and thermostats.
  • Install or upgrade low voltage security and home automation systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
  • Adapt existing equipment to integrate with our Smart Home systems.
  • Educate clients about our products and services, ensuring they can effectively utilize their installed systems.
  • Assess client security needs and recommend additional products and services for enhanced protection.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, job notes, and quality assurance metrics, and communicate effectively with management regarding any issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience in a customer service role.
  • Exceptional communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with low voltage systems is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of wireless communication and troubleshooting.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and skills.

Licensing and Certifications

  • Must meet the requirements for relevant licenses and certifications.
  • Ability to perform installations of life safety devices and smart home components.
  • Experience with system takeovers for various brands.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, laptops, and tablets.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Work Environment

This role primarily involves fieldwork, requiring physical activities such as standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing. You will be expected to lift items weighing up to 40 pounds and utilize personal computers or tablets extensively. Use of hand and power tools will be necessary on occasion.
