Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic assessments of system malfunctions and execute repairs on low voltage security and home automation systems, including cameras, thermostats, and locks.
  • Install or upgrade low voltage security and home automation systems for both new and existing clients.
  • Adapt existing equipment to integrate with our Smart Home systems.
  • Educate clients about our products and services, ensuring they understand how to utilize their newly installed systems effectively.
  • Assess client security requirements and recommend additional products and services to enhance their coverage.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, job notes, quality assurance, and timekeeping, and communicate effectively with management regarding any issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service role.
  • Exceptional communication and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sales experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with low voltage systems is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of wireless communication and troubleshooting.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and skills.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Must meet the requirements for applicable licenses and certifications.
  • Ability to perform installations of life safety devices and smart home components.
  • Capability to manage the transition of existing systems.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, laptops, and tablets.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Work Environment

This role primarily involves fieldwork, requiring physical activities such as standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing. Candidates should be able to lift up to 40 pounds and have extensive experience using personal computers or tablets. Occasional use of hand and power tools is necessary.
