SafeHaven is in search of a Senior Vice President to spearhead the establishment of a new innovation lab. This lab will focus on creating, conducting, and applying original research related to intimate partner violence.

This role entails launching the Innovation Lab, a new division of SafeHaven, aligned with our Vision 2030 goals.

The position carries substantial responsibilities, leading the research and development initiatives that propel the organization's mission forward. Collaboration with the executive team is essential to identify viable projects and assist in securing funding.

The primary focus is on the survivors at SafeHaven, developing and executing high-quality research to enhance their safety and ensure offender accountability. The effective application of this research is crucial for the well-being of survivors.

Qualifications for this role include:

  • Advanced degree (graduate degree required, doctoral degree preferred) in social sciences, public policy, social work, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated history of leadership and innovation in social services, research, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in designing and executing research projects, ideally within a nonprofit or social services environment.
  • Strong grasp of emerging technologies, data analytics, and their applications in social innovation.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, including donors, policymakers, and community partners.
  • Accountable, trustworthy, curious, open communicator, and adaptable.
