About the Role

Capital One is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Product Leader to spearhead our Cloud Security and Governance initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a technology-first, risk-based, and data-driven strategy for enterprise security services, solutions, and capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and communicate a comprehensive technology strategy and roadmap for cloud security and governance, aligning with business objectives and risk management principles.
  • Partner closely with engineering, operations, customers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and effective solution delivery.
  • Analyze and select alternatives based on threat, risk, desirability, feasibility, and viability, ensuring optimal solutions for business and technology risks.
  • Stay abreast of advances in industry to address the evolving threat landscape and maintain technical and risk credibility with the team and partners.
  • Facilitate build vs. buy decisions to identify optimal strategies for addressing business and technology risks, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Maintain close ties with various stakeholders, developers, and engineers across the company, ensuring the services we create meet their needs as products evolve.
  • Iterate quickly and see products through to production and scale, ensuring timely and effective solution delivery.
  • Establish product value propositions, metrics, and key indicators to measure success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Recruit, motivate, mentor, and lead those around you to be their best, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
About You
  • You have strong technical cybersecurity and analytical skills, with a proven track record of developing and executing effective security strategies.
  • You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaborative relationships with technology groups and stakeholders.
  • You have demonstrated clear communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization, and to influence senior management and executives.
  • You have experience managing multiple high-visibility and high-impact enterprise cybersecurity projects with cross-functional teams, while maintaining superior results.
  • You have operated successfully in a product-led technology environment, with a passion for cybersecurity and a commitment to driving innovation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 7 years of people management experience.
  • At least 9 years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • At least 5 years of experience translating cybersecurity strategy and analysis into product and service requirements for cloud security, governance, and risk management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science.
  • 5+ years of experience in public cloud security, poly-cloud, and multi-cloud environments.
  • 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity governance and risk management.
  • 2+ years of experience in scaled agile product management.
  • 2+ years of experience in regulated financial services organizations.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, GIAC, CISM, CCSP, CISA, CRISC, SAFe Product Management, AWS Security, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, AWS Solutions Architect).
