Position Overview:

As a Cybersecurity Exercise Planner, you will collaborate closely with the Information Security Officer and team members. Leveraging your extensive experience in large-scale exercise planning, you will design and implement tailored, realistic, and scenario-driven exercises aimed at evaluating the efficacy of our existing security protocols across various enterprise functions. Your role will be pivotal in enhancing the security framework of the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in engaging with diverse stakeholders, including team leaders, senior executives, and both technical and non-technical clients. U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite due to the sensitive nature of the work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions and collaborate with process owners and stakeholders to outline and document necessary cybersecurity process assessments.
  • Create and manage exercise lifecycle documentation, encompassing all phases from initial concept and planning meetings through execution and post-exercise reporting.
  • Design and conduct exercises ranging from tabletop scenarios aimed at identifying process deficiencies to functional exercises that actively test cyber incident response protocols and cross-enterprise coordination.
  • Generate after-action reports, extract lessons learned, and formulate process enhancement plans that integrate recommendations and adjustments to cybersecurity strategies, processes, and protocols.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Cybersecurity and IT, with a focus on technology exercise planning.
  • Proven experience in delivering presentations to executive audiences.
  • Familiarity with enterprise cybersecurity systems and technologies.
  • Understanding of scenario-driven planning methodologies.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance policies, programs, processes, and metrics.
  • A Bachelor's degree is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Over 6 years of experience in Cybersecurity and IT, particularly in technology exercise planning.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly grasp complex issues, draw logical conclusions, and devise effective solutions.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing pragmatic solutions.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise assessment reports.
  • Proven ability to engage and collaborate effectively with senior and executive management.
  • Possession of critical thinking and thought leadership capabilities.
  • Cybersecurity certifications such as Security+ or CISSP are advantageous.
