VieMed Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Interim Chief Psychiatrist Medical Officer to lead multiple Behavioral Health facilities.

Position Overview:
This role involves overseeing the medical practices for both inpatient and outpatient services across various locations. The Chief Psychiatrist will provide support to the medical teams and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee medical practices in behavioral health settings.
  • Support and guide the medical team across multiple facilities.
  • Provide direct supervision to Physician Assistants and Pharmacists.
  • Fill in for the Medical Director as needed.

Qualifications:
  • A valid medical license in the State of Washington.
  • Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Psychiatry, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
  • A minimum of 5 years of post-eligibility practice in hospital care.
  • A comprehensive understanding of treatment protocols for various psychiatric and medical conditions.

Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of Washington State regulations and CMS standards.
  • Experience in supervising psychiatrists or training psychiatric residents.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based psychosocial therapies and trauma-informed care.
  • Strong leadership skills including sound judgment, decision-making, and strategic planning.
