Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tank Trailer Mechanic/Welder to join our team at Wabash National Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service experience to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on tank trailers, including welding, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure compliance with DOT and ASME regulations.
  • Install and repair power takeoffs, drive lines, and product pumping systems.
  • Conduct layout and fabrication work as needed.
  • Operate a variety of power and hand tools safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and CDL preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment and random drug screening.
  • Experience with DOT and ASME tank repairs and inspections.
  • Welding experience on aluminum, stainless, and mild steel tanks and components.
  • Understanding of tank plumbing and operation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moving equipment and motorized vehicles.
Working Conditions

The work environment includes exposure to high decibels of noise, temperature, weather variations, metal welding processes, and chemicals. You must be able to work in an environment requiring use of ladders, stairs, heights, platforms, and climbing in and out of trailers or working under trailers in tight spaces.
