As a Retirement Planning Consultant, your mission will be to guide individuals through Empower's retirement services provided by their employers, helping them to cultivate a secure retirement and strategize their financial future. You will leverage your analytical skills to drive business outcomes and engage in significant discussions while adhering to service commitments. This will involve meeting with clients both in-person and virtually within your designated area.
This position will primarily serve public sector employees in the designated region, requiring travel within the assigned area. This is not a fully remote role.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish strategic alliances with essential contacts and agencies within your designated area.
- Conduct comprehensive Retirement Readiness Reviews, individual consultations, and group presentations aimed at targeted participants, utilizing consultative skills to enhance retirement results.
- Develop a proactive business strategy to maximize participant engagement in your assigned area.
- Analyze diverse needs and challenges through insightful analytics.
- Maintain detailed records of interactions in Salesforce and gather necessary enrollment data to comply with regulatory standards.
- Meet service level agreements while achieving desired business outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with internal service and management teams to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Possession of FINRA Series 6, 63, and 65 registrations (current Series 6 and 63 are required for serious consideration).
- Access to reliable transportation for travel within the assigned area (mileage reimbursement is provided).
- Strong skills in relationship building and territory management.
Preferred Attributes
- Current FINRA registrations are highly desirable.
- Experience with retirement and financial planning software.
- Ability to think strategically and work independently.
- Proficient public speaking skills.
- Solid understanding of the firm's offerings, defined contribution plans, and ERISA regulations.

Salary Information
The salary range for this position typically falls between $69,000 and $98,050. Non-sales roles may participate in a bonus program, while sales positions may be eligible for additional incentives based on performance. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, experience, education, and licensure, and will be finalized upon offer.
