Commercial Banking Specialist

The Commercial Banking Specialist will play a crucial role in advancing the Bank's objectives by cultivating new lending and deposit relationships while overseeing a robust commercial loan portfolio. Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive loan production and fee generation through proactive business development initiatives.
    • Actively pursue new business opportunities through referrals from current clients, community involvement, and outreach efforts.
    • Achieve both Bank-wide and personal growth and fee income targets while ensuring a high-quality loan portfolio.
    • Continuously seek additional business through established relationships and referral networks.
    • Engage in relevant networking groups, community functions, and other opportunities to maintain a strong presence in the community and broaden our client base.
  • Effectively develop and oversee a loan portfolio, managing all facets of the borrowing relationship.
    • Collect and evaluate financial data, collaborating closely with the credit administration team.
    • Regularly assess credits, documenting file notes, conducting annual reviews, and formulating action plans for any distressed loans.
    • Ensure customer retention while promoting additional deposit, cash management, and other pertinent Bank products and services.
    • Guarantee that all loans receive appropriate approvals and that all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations are strictly followed.
    • Maintain ongoing, professional, and consistent communication with customers.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in Commercial Lending/Portfolio Management
  • Prior credit training is advantageous
  • Proven track record in prospecting and managing contacts
Skills:
  • Understanding of applicable state and federal banking regulations and other operational policies of the Bank
  • Familiarity with Bank policies and procedures, as well as the products and services offered
  • Outstanding oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities, with the capacity to apply common sense in executing instructions, guiding others, interpreting documents, comprehending procedures, drafting reports and correspondence, and communicating clearly with clients and colleagues
