As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing specialized underwriting, insurance coverage, and risk management services to support the continued profitable growth of our dedicated practice.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with a growing team of Large Property underwriters to complete new and renewal business production underwriting, service accounts, and identify key property agents/brokers.
- Implement sales and marketing activities to drive business growth and demonstrate a strong customer focus and thorough understanding of The Hartford's Large Property units' appetite and strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external business partners to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and execute underwriting strategies to achieve business objectives and drive revenue growth.
- Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Executive Underwriter title: 5+ years of commercial property underwriting and marketing experience.
- Senior Underwriter title: 3+ years of commercial property underwriting and marketing experience.
- Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining solid relationships with all internal and external business partners.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to think analytically about business problems, make recommendations, and propose solutions.
- High energy self-starter, who is resilient and has an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Demonstration of solid time, organizational, and desk management skills.
- Goal-oriented and delivers outcomes.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and compete to win.
- Superior technical knowledge and sound decision-making and analytical skills.
The Hartford offers a competitive salary range of $96,560 - $182,640, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including short-term and annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
