Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutritionist II to join our team at the North Public Health Center at Meridian. As a key member of our Community Health Services Division, you will play a vital role in promoting healthy eating habits and providing nutrition education to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual sessions to assess clients' nutritional needs and develop personalized care plans.
  • Assess the changing needs of medically complex and high-risk clients, primarily pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants, and children.
  • Provide health education and support to clients on nutrition and other health-related topics.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and make referrals to appropriate services.
  • Develop and implement nutrition standards for targeted populations, such as prenatal and high-risk patients.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • Current Registered Dietitian (RD) registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
  • Washington State Certified Dietitian (CD) or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI) obtained within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nutrition or related field.
  • Experience providing training on nutrition services and principles to clients and staff.
  • Experience providing direct client nutrition services after completing an internship or practicum.
  • Experience providing WIC services.
