Geography Instructor Position

Foothill De Anza Community College District is seeking a qualified Part-Time Geography Instructor to join our team. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching Human Geography and Physical Geography courses, as well as participating in the assessment of student work and timely submission of grades.
Responsibilities- Teach a variety of geography courses, including Human Geography and Physical Geography.
- Evaluate and assess student work, providing constructive feedback to improve student learning outcomes.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum and instructional materials.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in teaching and learning.
- Master's degree in Geography or a related field.
- Experience teaching geography courses at the community college level.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and administrators.
- Ability to use technology to enhance teaching and learning, including online course management systems and educational software.
This is a part-time, non-tenure track position. The successful candidate will be required to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed. The position is subject to budgetary approval and may be cancelled at any time.
