About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Playgroup Facilitator at our Family Resource Center. As a Playgroup Facilitator, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging environment for young children and their caregivers, promoting healthy development and learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster positive relationships with children, caregivers, and community members
  • Develop and implement daily playgroup programs that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive team environment
  • Communicate effectively with caregivers and community members to ensure a smooth and successful program
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of curriculum and themes that engage children's learning and development
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in teaching or childcare for children 0-5 years of age
  • Minimum of 6 units of child development coursework
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite or Google Workspace
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Verbal and written skills in Spanish, Cantonese, Mam, or Arabic languages
  • Experience working and/or living within diverse and historically marginalized communities
  • Educational attainment/degree in education, child development, or a related field
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, sit, kneel, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for the duration of shift
  • Able to operate standard office equipment, including computers, keyboard, phones, and printers
  • Traverse safely throughout the facility
  • Safely lift, move, and transport items weighing up to 30 lbs
  • Communicate in a clear speaking voice in person, over the phone, and during video conferences
