About the Role

Samaritans Hope is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Administration Officer to join our team. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the organization's operations, financial management, and human resources function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning & Leadership
    • Collaborate with the CEO and other members of the senior leadership team to lead the strategic plan, ensuring alignment with Samaritans Hope's mission, vision, and values.
    • Drive operational excellence by working with leadership to establish clear objectives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and metrics to measure success.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration across all operational functions, providing guidance and support to managers while fostering a positive, collaborative, and inclusive workplace.
  • Administration
    • Provide support and guidance to the Sr. Director of Administration who holds responsibility for IT, Compliance, Benefits Management & Facilities.
    • Strategic direction and oversight for IT infrastructure, systems, and services.
    • Collaborate with external IT vendors to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of technology systems.
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends, making recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Support management of all benefits related matters and plans.
    • Assist in management of the organization's facilities, including leases, maintenance, safety, and security.
    • Ensure compliance with building codes, health and safety regulations, and accessibility standards.
    • Support oversight of all insurance coverages needed by the organization.
  • Finance
    • Provide direction & oversight of financial management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
    • Work with external finance vendors to prepare and present regular financial reports, including budget analysis, cash flow projections, and financial statements, to the CEO, Board of Directors, and relevant committees.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Collaborate with program managers and department heads to develop program budgets, monitor spending, and ensure alignment with overall financial goals.
    • Oversee the annual audit and tax filing process.
  • Human Resources
    • Oversee the human resources function and external vendors including recruitment, onboarding, retention plans, performance management, employee relations, and ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and reporting obligations.
    • Champion and continuously enhance an organizational culture that prioritizes emotional well-being, supports an inclusive work environment, and fosters DEI values.
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, finance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
    • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in the nonprofit sector, with responsibility for a minimum of one of these areas: operations, finance, human resources, and strategic planning.
    • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and strategic financial planning required.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence, streamline processes, and optimize resources.
    • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
    • Commitment to advancing DEI initiatives and fostering an inclusive work environment.
    • Knowledge of mental health, suicide prevention, or related fields is advantageous.
    Benefits
    • Minimum starting salary is $150,000/year and will be set based on experience and skill set.
