Job Title: Quality Assurance Beverage Specialist

Coca-Cola Consolidated, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Beverage Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards in our beverage production process.

Job Summary:

The Quality Assurance Beverage Specialist will plan, test, and execute the delivery of daily blends and product requirements for production. This role will also involve maintaining concentrate, sugar, and other ingredient materials, as well as ensuring blending and product transfer equipment sanitation to meet quality and sanitation standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute the delivery of batch beverage blends and coordinate the set-up of flavors for production runs
  • Maintain blending equipment sanitation requirements and ensure system-wide conformance to quality and sanitation standards
  • Perform administrative tasks such as daily shift reports, concentrate usage, and inventory, quality testing results, and receiving raw materials in SAP
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure measurement accuracy
  • Conduct quality inspection and quality audits, isolate product that does not meet standards, and troubleshoot basic problems related to test results and product flow
Requirements:
  • 1 to 3 years prior production, manufacturing experience OR 2+ years relevant lab technician experience
  • Ability to follow work instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures
  • Understanding of a laboratory environment and laboratory practices preferred
  • Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials
  • Basic math, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiar with High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC) Technology Ability to multitask
  • Ability to read, write, and keep records
  • Good computer skills including literacy with Excel and Word
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Food Manufacturing environment with seasonal temperatures, flexible shifts, and weekend and holiday work based on business needs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk manufacturing floor, climb stairs, and lift up to 25lbs.
Education:
  • 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school
  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in science or related field highly preferred
  • 2+ years relevant lab technician experience
