Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Beverage Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our beverages. This position is responsible for planning, testing, and executing the delivery of daily blends and product requirements for production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the delivery of batch beverage blends, coordinate the set-up of flavors for production runs, and conduct qualitative and quantitative testing of beverage samples and finished goods throughout the entire production process.
  • Maintain blending equipment sanitation requirements to ensure system-wide conformance to quality and sanitation standards and maintain the highest possible housekeeping standards to prevent microbial contaminations.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as daily shift reports, concentrate usage, and inventory, quality testing results, and receiving raw materials in SAP.
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
  • Conduct quality inspection and quality audits, isolate product that does not meet standards, and troubleshoot basic problems related to test results and product flow.
  • Serve as a lead for the quality department and operate, test, and troubleshoot an entire shift independently.
Requirements
  • 1 to 3 years prior production, manufacturing experience OR 2+ years relevant lab technician experience.
  • Ability to follow work instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures.
  • Understanding of a laboratory environment and laboratory practices preferred.
  • Familiarity with lab safety and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Basic math, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Familiar with High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC) Technology Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to read, write, and keep records.
  • Good computer skills including literacy with Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced Food Manufacturing environment with seasonal temperatures, flexible shifts, and weekend and holiday work based on business needs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk manufacturing floor, climb stairs, and lift up to 25lbs.
Education and Qualifications
  • 2 years of education beyond high school in college or technical school.
  • Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in science or related field highly preferred.
  • 2+ years relevant lab technician experience.
