Position Overview:

The Regional Sales Manager is tasked with the promotion and effective utilization of CSL Behring's product offerings while overseeing all facets of business development within the designated territory.

This role involves fostering and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, hospital decision-makers, specialty pharmacies, and distribution partners.

The Regional Sales Manager will generate demand for promoted products by showcasing strong clinical expertise.

Additionally, the manager should exhibit a high degree of business insight to facilitate the establishment of new accounts while enhancing the growth of existing ones.

The Regional Sales Manager will also be expected to support relevant patient education initiatives as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and enhance the usage of products among targeted call points, including healthcare professionals, hospitals, treatment centers, patient support groups, distributors, and specialty pharmacies. Cultivate customer advocates for the promoted products.
  • Drive the development of new accounts and the expansion of existing ones through robust customer relationships, effective communication of technical product and disease state information, and proficient territory management.
  • Formulate and execute territory business plans that align with corporate objectives aimed at achieving or surpassing sales targets. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of product features, competitive offerings, and distribution channels.
  • Implement strategic marketing initiatives to boost market share for key promoted products.
  • Ensure appropriate call frequency with assigned targets and adjust as necessary to align with current product focus.
  • Stay informed on the latest clinical literature from medical journals and other relevant sources.
  • Utilize the CSL selling model (PS2) effectively, demonstrating strong opening, probing, listening, and closing skills during customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with patient support groups as appropriate, adhering to CSL Behring's standard operating procedures.
  • Remain vigilant regarding pertinent market trends and opportunities, effectively communicating these insights to management.
  • Represent CSL Behring at local customer meetings to enhance visibility of products and services.
  • Willingness to travel regularly, which may include weekends for select customer or corporate engagements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or business discipline.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in pharmaceutical sales or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in field sales and market share enhancement.
