Overview of Duties:
Prepares cafeteria counters and patient Room Service areas according to established layouts. Ensures correct portion serving utensils are available. Maintains the appropriate temperatures for hot and cold food items.

Accurately and attractively assembles patient trays. Serves cafeteria meals using appropriate portion sizes.

Precisely assembles prepared foods for standard and modified diet trays. Presents cold food items in an appealing and appetizing manner.

Delivers food carts/trucks to patient service areas and returns trays to the dish room for cleaning.

May operate independently or collaboratively in the dish room and/or kitchen sanitation.

Responsible for the operation of the dish machine, ensuring the delivery of clean dishes and utensils to designated kitchen areas. Hand washes items using suitable sanitizers.

Sanitizes patient and cafeteria food carts and other equipment to uphold high sanitation standards. Maintains kitchen counters, dining areas, and furnishings in a clean and sanitary condition.

Responsible for sweeping and mopping floors, occasionally utilizing a floor scrubber and washing walls in the department.

Performs various kitchen tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Delivers patient trays as directed by the supervisor. Restocks assigned areas (room service, patient floors, cafeteria, dish room, pot room, food prep areas) with necessary supplies.

Participates in catering duties, including setup, serving, and cleanup for special events.

Assists in training new FNS Team Members.

Education/Experience:

Preferred:
Previous experience in a food and nutrition environment.

Schedule Details:
Day Shift. 34 hours weekly.

8:00am - 2:30pm weekdays and every other weekend.
