Key Responsibilities

As the Clinical Manager for Wound Care, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the wound care services within our healthcare facility.

Your primary duties will include the development, execution, and coordination of wound care initiatives through collaborative efforts across various disciplines, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and standards of practice. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of care standards and chair the Wound Care Committee, which involves organizing monthly meetings, setting agendas, and managing documentation and reporting to the Quality Improvement Committee.

In this role, you will supervise the completion of comprehensive Wound Care Studies and actively engage with corporate partners to manage the hospital's wound care program effectively. You will also oversee the formulation and periodic review of policies, protocols, and care guidelines related to wound management, including the Standardized Procedure for Wound Care.

As a clinical resource, you will provide direct patient care, conduct rounds on wound care patients, and address care concerns in collaboration with physicians, staff, patients, and their families.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Program Manager position, candidates should possess:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care environment.
  • Proven experience in coordinating wound care programs, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcomes.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • A valid nursing license to practice in California.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
