Risk Management Specialist

Bernards is seeking a highly skilled Risk Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing our comprehensive insurance and risk management program, assessing and identifying potential risks, and developing and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, insurance, and compliance, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with our insurance broker and captive insurer to ensure that our insurance programs are properly managed and that we are in compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Administer our comprehensive insurance program, including general liability, auto liability, workers' compensation, and property insurance.
- Manage insurance claims from inception through resolution, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to reduce risk and control losses.
- Work with stakeholders to develop and implement risk management strategies, including self-insurance, commercial insurance, and captive insurance.
- Manage internal exposure data to assist in the preparation of underwriting submissions.
- Partner with Accounting to develop and maintain Statement of Values and other property risk data.
- Manage and audit all insurance policy documentation, endorsements, and certificates of insurance for accuracy.
