Role SummaryAs the Senior Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in the effective management of the Culinary Department within our facility. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the preparation and cooking of diverse food items, crafting daily menus, and ensuring proper garnishment. You will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to innovate menu offerings and assist with inventory management.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Executive Chef in managing budgetary controls and monitoring expenditures.
- Assist in the planning and development of menus.
- Coordinate and execute catering events.
- Implement new culinary initiatives in partnership with the marketing and culinary teams.
- A.O.S. Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent culinary certification.
- Progressive experience in culinary or kitchen management.
- Experience in catering is advantageous.
- Background in high-volume food service operations is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with institutional and batch cooking methods.
- In-depth knowledge of food trends, quality standards, sanitation practices, and cost control.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications.
- Willingness to engage in patient satisfaction initiatives.
- ServSafe certification is preferred.
