Job Summary:

This position provides comprehensive occupational health services focused on promoting total worker health and preventing industrial injuries. The successful candidate will work closely with a utility company to deliver high-quality services across a designated region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide triage, first aid, education, and escalation of care as needed to support injured employees.
  • Facilitate ongoing communication with all parties involved in managing an injury case, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient reporting.
  • Support employees in achieving sustained lifestyle improvements in areas such as nutritional health, physical fitness, and stress management.
  • Conduct ergonomic analyses to provide recommendations on vehicle setup, work posture, tool use, and workstation modifications.
  • Develop and implement job-specific agility routines and programs to promote preventative methods, such as Work Hardening.
  • Minimize risk of injury through awareness, education, ergonomic recommendations, and first aid.
  • Proactively engage with employees at their work location to promote a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Maintain accurate records of triage, ergonomic assessments, first aid care, and education provided.
  • Gain a thorough understanding of site operations, workflow, processes, and employees to make informed recommendations for preventing musculoskeletal injuries.
  • Leverage technology to support total worker health initiatives.
  • Collaborate with other WorkCare service lines, including Incident Intervention, Onsite Clinics, and Consulting M.D.s.
  • Perform additional duties and assume additional responsibilities as identified by the manager to ensure efficient operation of WorkCare.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Science, Physical Education, or a related field.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Experience in orthopedics, wellness, industrial/occupational health, or ergonomics is highly desirable.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in a relevant field, Ergonomic Certification, BOC Certified AT, and at least 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to meet and exceed daily and weekly individual performance goals.
  • Computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new software as needed.
Work Environment:

This is a fully onsite position, working Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm PST +/- 1 hour. The salary range is $35.00-$45.00 per hour, with benefits including paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and critical illness insurance, HSA, HRA, and FSA, life and disability insurance, EAP, 401K, legal and identity theft coverage, pet insurance, and more.
