As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and providing leadership to a team of licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the implementation of clinical objectives in an assigned area.
Responsibilities- Assess daily patient care needs and develop and distribute patient care assignments to ensure that population-appropriate patient care is given.
- Delegate appropriate duties to clinical/non-clinical teams based on their assessed skills and abilities.
- Gather information from other team members and use this data to plan for the care of all patients on the unit for the shift.
- Evaluate the care delivered by other licensed and non-licensed caregivers and support staff by providing direct and immediate feedback and coaching.
- Participate in the hiring process for new staff members assigned to the shift by conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- 1 year of cumulative job-specific experience required.
- 1 year of Charge Nurse or other unit leadership experience preferred.
