Job Summary

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Withdrawal Management Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our substance abuse treatment team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to individuals struggling with addiction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the withdrawal management team, ensuring seamless delivery of care to clients.
  • Conduct admission interviews, collecting medical, social, and demographic data to assess client suitability for detoxification services.
  • Chart client information, including medical history, withdrawal symptoms, and treatment progress, in accordance with CARF procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medication, as directed by physicians.
  • Monitor client physical and medical status, providing direct nursing care and reporting any concerns to the medical director.
  • Collaborate with the medical director to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring alignment with The Salvation Army's mission and values.
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff, promoting a culture of excellence and compassion within the team.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and The Salvation Army's standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance client care.
  • Provide education and training to staff on substance use disorders, treatment modalities, and best practices in addiction recovery.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of services and effective communication with clients and families.
Requirements
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Indiana (preferred) or Licensed Practical Nurse (required).
  • Two years of supervisory/management experience in the nursing field, with a focus on substance use disorders (preferred).
  • CPR certification and valid driver's license.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Commitment to The Salvation Army's mission and values, with a passion for serving individuals struggling with addiction.
Working Conditions
