The Property Manager is a key role within The Lynd Company, responsible for the day-to-day operations of an individual community. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with residents, staff, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the overall performance of the property, including financial management, marketing, leasing, and customer service.
- Supervise and train on-site staff, including hiring, performance evaluations, and compensation decisions.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to increase occupancy and revenue.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HUD, TC, AHDP, HOME, and Bond regulations.
- Manage budgets, financial reporting, and tracking, as well as oversee maintenance and repairs.
- Coordinate with external partners, including contractors, vendors, and government agencies.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, responding to concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or two to three years of related experience in property management, leasing, and/or hospitality.
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) credential preferred.
- Three years of affordable housing property management experience, including HUD/TC/AHDP/HOME/Bond administration and staff supervision.
- Strong knowledge of HUD policies, Project Based Section 8 rules and regulations, and Tax Credit/AHDP/HOME/Bond policies.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to develop rapport with residents, staff, and external partners.
The Property Manager will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and achieving business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, communicator, and problem-solver, with a passion for property management and a commitment to excellence.
