As the Bioprocessing Portfolio Expansion Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our client's bioprocessing portfolio across the Mid Atlantic region. Leveraging your expertise in biotechnology and business development, you will spearhead strategic initiatives to cultivate new business opportunities and foster strong relationships with key stakeholders in the life sciences industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute business strategies to expand the upstream and downstream bioprocessing portfolio.
  • Pursue new business opportunities, including strategic partnerships, collaborations, and licensing agreements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic institutions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment of business objectives and drive successful commercialization efforts.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making and drive innovation.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote brand awareness and enhance market presence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (MBA, PhD) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing within the biotechnology or life sciences industry.
  • Proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and expanding market share through strategic business development initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of upstream and downstream bioprocessing technologies, including cell culture, purification, and bioreactor systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients, attend conferences, and support business development activities.
