Job Title: Rehabilitation Counselor
Job Summary:
The Rehabilitation Counselor will work with patients to help them overcome or manage the personal, social, or psychological effects of disabilities on employment or independent living.
This role involves providing individual and group counseling to help patients adjust to their disability, evaluating patients' abilities, and developing a treatment plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rehabilitation counseling and be certified as a rehabilitation counselor.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to help patients adjust to their disability
- Evaluate patients' abilities and develop a treatment plan
- Arrange for patients to obtain services such as medical care or career training
- Help employers understand the needs and abilities of people with disabilities and laws that affect them
- Maintain patient records and monitor progress
