Role Summary:
We are in search of a skilled and committed Registered Nurse (RN) to become a vital part of our Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU). In this role, you will engage in a fast-paced and rewarding environment, delivering care to a varied patient population with neurological disorders. This telemetry-monitored unit, comprising 38 beds, provides a unique combination of challenges and diversity, making it a perfect fit for nurses who excel in collaborative, high-energy settings.

It includes a specialized 4-bed Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and is affiliated with a prestigious Comprehensive Stroke Center recognized by the Joint Commission. As part of this team, you will care for patients facing intricate neurological issues, such as:
- Hemicraniectomy
- Aneurysm Clips and Coils
- Glioblastomas
- Carotid Endarterectomy
- Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)
- Hemorrhagic and Ischemic Stroke
- Neurosurgery
- Seizures
- Brain Mass
Key Duties:
- Deliver exceptional, empathetic nursing care to patients in the Neuro PCU, following established protocols and standards.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate patients through telemetry, responding swiftly to any changes in their condition.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create and execute personalized care plans.
- Actively participate in the unit's team nursing approach, fostering a strong culture of collaboration and teamwork.
- Engage in ongoing professional growth to enhance and maintain clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Possession of a valid nursing license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Prior experience in a neuro or telemetry unit is preferred but not mandatory.
