Renal PCU Charge Nurse

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Renal PCU Charge Nurse (RN) to join our team in Temple, Texas.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to lead our Renal Transplant & Urology-Progressive Care Unit (STC-3) team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, managing complex monitoring and drips, and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to ensure the highest quality of care.
Responsibilities- Manage a diverse group of complex patients admitted to the 35-bed progressive care unit.
- Provide care for patients undergoing renal and pancreas transplants, kidney transplants, ESRD, peritoneal dialysis, urology, pulmonary hypertension, and implanted radioactive implant care.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Lead and mentor nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and a positive work environment.
- Participate in unit-based councils and contribute to the development of policies and procedures that promote patient safety and quality care.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a progressive care or critical care setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work 36 hours per week, with 12-hour shifts, nights.
