Community Outreach and Events Coordinator

The National Cherry Blossom Festival is seeking a highly motivated and organized Community Outreach and Events Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our community programs team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and logistical support for community partnerships and programs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for community programs, including Kites in the Classroom, Blossom Kicks for Kids, and other initiatives.
  • Assist with planning and executing special projects and events, such as Oxon Run Pinknic.
  • Support onsite partnership execution at signature events and community programs.
  • Coordinate efforts with local businesses and residents for the City in Bloom program.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for City in Bloom, Cherry Picks, and Hotel programs.
  • Facilitate the Signature Blossom Decal program inventory and coordinate distribution strategy.
  • Track program participation and monitor compliance.
  • Assist with program reporting and data collection.
Requirements:
  • One or more years of experience in a related field.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Superior communication and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Attention to detail, high productivity, and concern for accuracy and excellence.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
